A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... Introduction

Howdy folks! Registered on MilSurps awhile back but haven't posted anything yet. Several years ago I got interested in WWII sniper rifles, which is what attracted me to MilSurps. Had some questions about an Enfield No 4 Mk 1 (T) I own and hope to be posting them soon.

New Member and New to Vintage Firearms

Joined this forum to listen and learn from others about the all original 1942 Remington 1903 I inherited.

I'd been looking at them, but never got serious. These are beautiful rifles and have learned a lot in the last month from this and the CMPicon forum. I plan to shoot this rifle, but not that often. I may even buy another that is less collectable for a hunting rifle that I won't feel guilty about putting a scope on or altering the stock.

Why is there not as much information on factory build sheets like on the M1icon carbines and garands?

The only issue on mine is the rear sight slide is a little bent, but I should be able to repair that.

Images here. 1903 - Album on Imgur

    Can't wait to learn more.

Hello everyone, I have just started to get serious about milsurps, specifically Enfields, even thou I have had a few of these rifles (in sporting configurations) .in our collection for over 40 years. I grew up in a hunting family and that has and still is my main passion. In my quest for knowledge regarding a enfield conversion back to an original state I was pointed to your forum. I must say the amount and depth of knowledge in this forum is amazing. I look forward to learning all about this new to me field of milsurps.
Thanks everyone for making this a phenomenal site.

    Happy New Years !

    Hello

Name here is Mel. I am a retired machinist. Well actually my trade was "Machine Repair Machinist". I served my apprenticeship at the Chevy V8 plant (no longer exists) in Flint, MI.
I was born in 1945 near where I live now. Went to MI just out of high school.

I bought a MK-IV (c) from IMA in Nov. It cleaned up to be a pretty nice one. Haven't shot it yet. Still getting the components for the ammo together. UPS is delivering a Snider for me tomorrow. Yep! I have been bitten!
