New guy!
Greetings,
The name is Dave and I'm new to the forum. I'm originally from Ireland but now live in the U.S. My interest in the Lee Enfield goes back to my days in the Irish Army Defense Force Reserve in the 1970's when we trained with and used the MkIV.
Looking forward to being a part of the Forum.
Dave

Hello
I am hoping this site will offer me a good basis on which to identify and perhaps even value some of the treasures I find. I hit up quite a few garage sales and estate sales in my area and am always finding interesting military items. Most I can identify within a few minutes on Google but I bought a piece the other day that has me stumped. It is a 3 bladed (or triangular bladed/ spear point) bayonet that has the stamps of Enfield but I have yet to find the exact model online and I have been searching for hours. I will post pictures later but the main features are : 17 inch tri blade, wooden handle with pins that run through from top to bottom (not side to side like most), and EFD stamped in the metal on top of the handle.

Hi, everyone. I am a long-time SMLE enthusiast. My question is: Was there a preferred manufacturer assembling the WW1 No1 MkIII sniper rifle? I have an L.S.A. sniper rifle all matching with PP Co scope. Look forward to your input. I was encouraged to join by Brian Long, BDL Ltd.

hi everyone.
I'm quite happy to join your community.
I am a competitive shooter out in Alberta, Scheutzen rifles mostly.
My current interests are mounting a Periscope Prism to a Lee Enfield. The scope was saved from the trash along with some WWI memorabilia. Anyone with experience with mounting one of these vintage scopes would be encouraged to PM me.

Hello everyone. I am retired and use to own a gun store in CA. I am selling my collection of firearms and need to research some of them. While researching a Krag-Jorgensen rifle I stumbled across an old thread on your site. My rifle appears to be almost identical to the one posted. However, the author didn't state the barrel length. Mine is 20.5" w/ SN 290,507. Did the U.S. use any carbines with this barrel length or does this make it a Norwegian carbine.

Enfields
Hi All,
I'm a first-timer to this site, been collecting and shooting various Enfields for the past 7 years, SMLEs, P14, No4s, No8 in both .22 and .303. I've read the Skennerton and Stratton books but there's always 101 questions I want answering and I hope you guys will be able to help me out.
