Enfield .22lr conversion - market value

I am interested in acquiring an Enfield that has been converted to a .22. They are not all that easy to come by and, as a result, it is hard to gauge their value. What is the fair market value of a good quality, shooter grade version of one of these conversions?

Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

In England you'd be looking at :
No2 Mk4* £300-£400
No7 £1000
CNo7 £600
No8 £600-£800
No9 £700-£800

I'll agree with Alan's figures. Perhaps a good No2 Mark IV will fetch £450 and upwards.

...and then there's always the lithgows, they seem around the $500 mark in the US, some lower, some higher, and the JJCO ones look new but have that odd ball history, same prices, about the $500 mark in the us.

Sorry for the lack of information. I'm in the mid-Atlantic area of the United States. Unfortunately, I don't have a particular gun in mind and am just starting the search, so the general price ranges discussed here are very helpful. Thank you very much.

I wouldn't go by U.K. prices. Sadly, a de-act there fetches more than a functioning rifle on this side of the pond.

Go on gunbroker.com and do a search of completed auctions in the last 90 days for "enfield 22". You need to be vague enough at this point to look at as many examples as possible to figure out what you really want and the price ranges. Pay less attention to the auctions with NO bids as those are usually too high.
