Apologies to Bill Hollinger and my fellow CSP Jousters; mea culpa.
Perhaps I should have used this phrase: "alternate slang term for more than one cat". Anyhow, "blokes" will do for now; it just does not convey the spirit in its full amplitude or longitude.

Well, let me see here...
I'm just a simple country boy, but if you give me five minutes and a file, I can fix those "anti-stab" knives... give me five more minutes and a whetstone, and it'll be as good as new... talk about stoopid! Best regards to all, keep your powder dry! KarlKW

Is there a law against knife making in the UK? I've made a couple of decent working knives from old files.
So, how would a blunted factory-made kitchen knife thwart anything at all? Anti-stab is a laugh. I once had a piece of dull 1/4" steel go through my hand at work a while back, and it didn't take as much force as one might think.
Doesn't take much force at all for a sharpened point to penetrate. You don't even notice until it stops at the hilt. A dulled or broken tip will penetrate with the same effort and will also cause more blunt trauma damage than a sharp one. You'll just notice the resistance a little more.
Please don't ask how I know this. Just accept the fact I'm still among the living.

I bet I could kill someone with a fork.
Maybe not with a spoon though.

A little off thread but have you seen the Chinese guy put a sewing needle through a pane of glass?
