A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. "The Delisle Commando Carbine" by Skennertonicon. A smaller volume published a number of years ago. Don't know if it is still in print or not. The Special Interest Arms carbine is interesting, but is not really a reproduction of a Delisle.
Chap in Canadaicon has made a number of exact Delisle repros (with solid barrel passing through the casing, for legal resons). Don't know if he posts here. His work is absolutely first class. The original Delisles were made up on DP or other lesser quality SMLEs. Probably the most challenging operation is boring out the receiver from the front so that the barrel can extend back in.
A reasonable reproduction could be made by reverse engineering dimensions by scaling from photographs.
Also, refer to "the Guns of Dagenham" by Laidler & Howroyd. The information you are seeking is there. Peter Laidlericon IS a member here.

The reason for the drawing is, i am making a few repro,s if i can get the drawing i can alter a few things so i can reproduce a repro with the 12" barrel (law in the UKicon) and dont worry any UK members i am a RFD.

Methinks you will probably have to register for the site, but it is worth it.

Better still, why don't you just contact Warminster. They have a few that they have used recently. Plus a skeletonised version that you could see and copy so I have heard. But you'll probably have to put yourself out
