    new gun bill???

Just got an email about a new gun bill, have not checked it out yet, no time now. Says the bill is SB2099,it will require on 09 tax forms for you to list all gun owned and pay 50 buck tax on each. Also says it does not have to be voted on by the Senate cause it is an ammendent to the tax cade (that does not make sense). Sounds like BS to me but see what we can find out. http//ron.dotson.net/guns/sb2099.htm

It is not as real as it it presented. There are a couple of other sites that refute it as well.

    Look at it here:

The IRS is going to require guns to be listed on income tax forms-Fiction!

Snoops shot that one down several weeks ago - left over combination rumor from 10 YEARS ago. Strongly recommend that everyone join, participate and watch your favorite Gun Lobby site (NRA, GOA, etc). They make it their business to watch government legislative and regulatory activity for us. Its the best and quickest way to get CORRECT information out. Repeating rumors - what you read in a forum, heard at the gunshow, what my brother-in-said - only clouds out the needed focus on the REAL issues plus it feeds all the gun/ammo horders fears which keeps prices up for all of us. You would be surprised at how much piece of mind $35 a year can buy ya....

Totally BS. In any event, I. too, had to sell my meager firearm collection to fill the gas tank on my green F-150.

I went and checked the link and see bill is dated 2000 and says nothing about listing guns on tax forms, applied to handguns only, and 50 dollar fee was for a transfer. I said it sounded like BS to me. And to Tired Reired---I do not pay 35 dollars a year I am a Life Member since 1959 and an Endowment Member for many years.
