    Moisin Nagant country of Origin?

    Asking for a friend.
He has a Moisin Nagant with a "crest" on the reciever.
It is a wreath with the letters RPR with the "P" being slightly higher than the "R's" on each side.
I am trying to deterimine country of origin and ( I know hard without photo's) value. I have seen the rifle and it is in what I would consider very good to excellent condition. It is NOT all matching. Bolt is Pin stamped to match receiver.
