    Danish Ammo

I have two crates of Danishicon .30 ammo in bandoleers. 12.5X10X10 more or less. All kinds of numbers on the crates. Not sure if any of them are the round count. Does anyone remember how many cartridges were in one of these cases?

    Thanks for your patience.

I think they were eight bandoliers of 48 rounds each for a total of 384 rounds. I have been told that there were other size (larger) crates as well. I have seen at least one crate that had five round stripper clips in bandoliers in it instead of enblocs.

I have a wooden crate of the 5 round stripper clips for the Springfield. Had to break a piggy bank to buy it at the time, but d@mn sure glad I did. I'll check tonight what the crate says on the outside.

My crates house 684 rounds in 8 round enblocs in bandoliers. Bought them several years ago from Sportsman Guide at $140 p/crate.

For some reason I can't edit my last reply. So, here is a CORRECTION to my last reply. Sorry about that!

My mistake, they are likely 624 round crates. That works out to thirteen bandoliers of forty eight rounds each. I finally found a picture of a Danishicon ammo crate to double check.
