Texas has "Castle Law". Been going on two years now. Applies to your automobile as well.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... I wouldn't want to use any gun for defense that I could not stand to lose, like a collectible M1icon Carbine or M1911A1 pistol. I figure it's going to be confiscated and who knows when I'll get it back even in a 'no charges' justifiable shooting, or what damage it may incur in THEIR hands. Mainly, I keep a couple of inexpensive pistols for carry and home defense with a Remington 1187 Police also available. Naturally there are modern military-style carbines also available in case of attack by multiple aggressors. I don't know about that statement that 'you have to retreat in your home'. If somebody kicks in my door in the middle of the night, I will be firing as soon as I can identify the target. The reason is, I'm 64, and I think a young buck that can kick in a door may not even need a deadly weapon to really mess me up. Plus, common sense will tell you that anybody breaking in didn't stop by for tea and scones. Home invasions have occurred where the intruders didn't have any weapons, yet grabbed knives and overcame everybody in the house, ultimately killing them all. At this point in my life, I guess I have come to the conclusion that if I can help it, I'm not going to let that happen to my wife and me and/or any other guests or family members who may be here. I would much rather take my chances with the law. At least we'd all still be alive.

It's better to be "caught with it" than "caught without it"

    All my fireams are ...

    for HD use.

Just the Carbine is located where handy, with 2 15-rdrs in buttpouch and the
feed ramp polished to reliably feed soft-nosed ammo.

I've seen this type of response more than once. I just don't get it. Not to carry or have available the best-efficient weapon, regardless of price, for fear of a shooting and confiscation? Am I in left-field on this?
