$Classifieds Looking for install of 7.62 barrel

I have another "italian" project rifle, and I am looking for a gunsmith to mount and headspace my 7.62X51 chambered barrel. The last time I had this work done it was by springfield armory. They had a problem b/c they don't do 7.62x51, only commercial 308. Does anyone know of reputable smith that does not charge an arm / leg.

    Try Fulton Armory

They probably have the barrel in stock and can receive and return your rifle, once repaired, to you anywhere in the US. And, they certainly will know how to chamber to the correct size as per your specs.

I'll Echo Busterman on Orion 7 . Tony did two .308 barrel jobs for me
and they both shoot like champions he will cut the chamber for either .308 or 7.62. His turn around is fast also.

I had Dean at Dean's Gun Restorations rebarrel and repark an old "Blue Sky" import with a shot out bore. FANTASTIC job! Check him out.

    DGR does great work

Dean did an M1icon for me a few years ago. An almost correct Feb of 1943 less a new barrel and one of Deans fancy grade walnut stocks.

Tony had been a great source for parts, and he's pretty close to me so parts only take a few days to get to me.

I'll have to check in with both Dean and Tony to see if they install and headspace barrels in 7.62x51. A lot of smiths can do .308 but not 7.62x51.
