    Berdan Primer Availability

I have been trying to find .401 WSL brass for a long time. Even Buffalo Ams, who offers it reformed from some other caliber brass, has been backordered for a long time.

Suddenly Grafs is offering new Fiocci made .401 brass for a reasonable price. However, it is made for Berdan primers.

I know it is difficult to reload Berdan primed cases, but in this instance I would be willing to load them only once if I could find a few hundred Berdan primers.

    Anybody know a source?

I sent you a PM. Reloading Berdan primers is not difficult, it requires one more step, and requires the appropriate primers. The Berdan primers come in many different diameters, heights and hardnesses. Diameter and heights being wrong cause obvious problems. Too soft a primer and the least bad thing you'll get is doubling.

tough but not impossible to find or make (contacts)

Quality Cartridge COmpany makes it (boxer), but also might be able to know which of their dealers you could contact and ask if they have any around.

These guys have several apparently reliable (and some very easy) ways to make it:
