I hate the thought of dry pins in a trigger group. Gotta grease 'em.

Shoooooooot...for once I'm not the wuss! I've done that on the top of my shooting box on the Assembly Line at CP in the rain! Nothin' to it! (Had a blown primer jam down BEHIND the trigger spring!) Frankly, it's one of the things that makes shooting an AR in HP so attractive....they're like the Energizer Bunny!

This was from the infamous/legendary 1998 NTI which was fired in an all-day downpour and shortened to 40 rds as a result of numerous "weather delays". My .308 load that had ANYWAYS worked before and did so for years afterward....was blowing primers in the rain!
Oh...and I DID have a similar jam-up in my AR....from one of those very same 1998 blown primers that was obviously rolling around in my shooting stool, got into one of my AR mags, and jammed it up the next year! Go figure!
Yep....it's almost time Maury....buy you an iced tea when you get here!

I must write a note on my hand in black sharpie. Do not push out that trigger pin unless the hammer is down.

Did that twice earlier this week. So, what happens if the hammer is cocked and the pin is removed. I've never seen that....he, he.

The real wuss is the one at the range with the "tanker" hack job. Why not cut it down to 3 or 4 inches? A mini garand? Have a few extra stamps added to the stock to make it look really cool?
