    Yugo 24/47 Cleaning Rod

Looking for a Yugoicon 24/57 Cleaning rod. I have looked up the size and the information says it should measure 14 7/8 inches.
    Any ideas?

I do not collect any "re-makes" and forget which the 24/57 is. A VZ24 or an FN M-24 based rifle? If vz24 use that rod, if a FN M-24 use a FN rod. By the way your post says 47 in title and 57 in body of post.

I know it's an oldy but since it was not adequately answered, maybe the info will help somebody down the road...

The 10" and 12.5" cleaning rods are K98icon variations.
    Original M24 (M24/47 and M4 cleaning rod is 14 3/4''.

    As for Yugo model clarification
model 1924 is the FN intermediate length action design purchased and manufactured by Yugoslaviaicon up to the 1941 Nazi occupation.
vz24 is the Czechicon/BRNO manufactured standard length action Mauser

Post war Yugo refurbs are the:
M24/47, refurbed model 1924 intermediate length action
M24/52C, refurbed vz24 standard length actions

I've seen several variations in "inches" for the M48-M24/47-M24/56C. 4.5 to 4.75 inches is the common answer. Wouldn't the Yugoicon use the metric system to measure these? All my Yugo bolt rifles have a cleaning rod 375mm (14 3/4inch) in length. Is there a variation in the rod length of an 1/4 inch?

I expect the Yugoslavians did use the metric system in their nomenclatures. However, in discussion with the Zastava Historian, he converted the dimensions to closest inch measure I guess. Anyhow, those are the figures he gave me just as he sent them.

I've seen several variations in "inches" for the M48-M24/47-M24/56C. 4.5 to 4.75 inches is the common answer.

Keep in mind, the M48- 24/47 are entirely different manufacture and origins from the 24/52C The "correct" cleaning rod for the 24/52C would most likely be whatever was issued with the vz24. The 10" & 12.5" rods were specified for "K98icon variations" which would include the 24/52C with its standard length action. I don't know what was standard to the vz24 and I don't know if the Yugos bothered manufacturing shorter rods for those actions or had enough on hand. Interesting question. I'll ask about it.

My24/52C uses the same rod as the M48, 375mm, As does the VZ24. The extra 1/4 from the longer action is from the chamber back on the M24/52C.

Top to bottom, M48, M48B and a M24/52C. You can see the Czechicon influence in the Yugos.
