By the same token....Camp Perry during the Nationals is the Shooter's Disney World! You not only have the matches, but you will NEVER find as many top-end vendors in one place at the same time. If you haven't done it and if you are in MEEEESH-igan (Go Bucks!) you're in easy driving distance....so why not?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... This is really a two edged sword: TRUE, there is more traffic at the store and the inventory will turn over more often, but because there are a lot of buyers, there is less of a chance that the "gem" will be there very long. When traffic is down, the inventory is less fluid and the "gems" stay in the crates in the back a bit longer. I am going tomorrow (Thurs.) and I will report on what I see.

You'll see LOTS of PO'ed Smallbored.....People doing nothing but b!tching! It's been muggy and rainy all week (raining as we speak!), so the poor little darlings are NOT happy, and are, of course, spreading their "displeasure" around. Hell, what's Highpower Weeks without a couple of gully-washing thunderstorms....adds "spice" to the experience....making all those wonderful Camp Perry War-Stories we bore folks with!

That is correct. You can join the Garandicon Collectors Association at the store.

    The North StoreToday:
Many nice carbines. I stayed clear.
    Barreled receivers were mostly junk.
Woodless Springfields...Who would pay $350. for a gun without wood or REAR SIGHTS?
Mossberg 44's looked nice. ($95. w/o rear sight)
    No Std. Service Grades.
Lots of Special Grades that were nice, but $950. is a lot of cash.
My buddy bought one of the 5.4 Service Grade Specials ($750.) that are basically the old Collector Grades with NEW wood. The wood on both the Special Grades is very nice.
There were only two Rack Grades in the whole store and they were not worth looking at.
Lots of Field Grades with crappy wood.
I bought a Salvage Grade ($300.) 1917 Enfield that was tagged Rack Grade. There was a whole rack of '17 Remingtons. Bob said they had Winchesters a couple weks ago. Where have all the Eddystones gone?
Commercial Row was only half open. Things will heat up next week.
While loading my trunk, I locked my keys in the trunk. Mike Conrad called a Cop friend of his that saved my butt. Thanks Mike!

I like going during the Nationals because vendor's row is full and can peruse and purchase from the various vendor's there.
The North store is a zoo during the matches. I will probably drive by and not go in unless the parking lot is sparsly populated.

still have to be a member. I had my birth certificate, drivers licence, DD214 and still had to show proof of membership and shooting activity. Your conceled carry licence will do nicely.
