    Need Cast .309 Krag Bullets

I would like some help finding cast gas checked bullets for the Kragicon.

Everyone wants about $30 shipped per hundred and I can buy jacketed Speer, Hornady etc. performance bullets for that much at the local high priced gun store! What's going on here?

Anyway, please lend some advice on this. Thanks

There's a lot of labor and material involved in making lubed, sized, cast bullets. You might try checking on castboolits.com or the cast bullet association, see if someone would be willing to help you at a more reasonable price. If I had a 308284 mold, I'd sell you some of my hardcast wonders at a better price, considering that I know what you're going to use them for, but all I have are spitzers that can be cantankerous when it comes to accuracy. Going on vacation tmrw, so can't help for awhile. In the meantime, here's some for only $19.95/100 CCB&R - Cast Bullets Sized .310, but it'll squeeze down once the powder starts to burn!

    How many do you want?

I have two styles, a skinny .30 (~.299" on the nose and .311" on the bands) and a fat .30 (~.303, ~.304" on the nose and .311" on the bands). Both bullets are ~195 grains. The design is the Hensley & Gibbs #99.

PM me your snail mail address and I will mail you one skinny and one fat bullet and you can tell me which one works better.

After you decide I will sell you 100 gas checked for the cost of postage + $5 for my trouble.

    One time deal.

The fat one would work better in most Krags I've encountered with a .301 bore diameter. Skinny might be a good candidate for the 7.5 Swissicon though.
