To clarify. The gas pressure works on the M7A1, A2, and A3. The original WWII M7 does not use the gas pressure to open the valve. It has a longer stud, which opens the valve upon installation, thus rendering the Garandicon as Non Semi Auto when attached.

    thanks bill,
i've got an m7 launcher.... it does depress the valve a little but i can push it down a bit more. i tried this on several garands with the same results. it may be that thestud isn't long enough or it may be that partial depression is adaquate to release gas. does that sound correct?
    thx,
    goo
