    Rediscovering an old friend..

A few weeks ago I was taking pics of some of my guns. I dug out my 2000 purchase from CMPicon.
i lost my data sheet when my old pc died, but took a few notes for my records. thought i'd repost them here. just the highlights.
it is a Springfield Armory M1 ser # 3615xxx it has a 3-45 SA barrel, the op rod is an unmodified -3 SA. the trigger housing is D 28290-2 SA, the TG is D462025-1 SA, i couldn't read the bolt, those markings are srhinking on me.. weird...
it has the lock bar rear sight..
the stock is marked SA over GAW in a cartouce, and it has the crossed cannons and gear..
i know the op rod is too early, and have been told the stock is wrong as well. (GAW = George A. Woody Lt.Col., USAicon 41-44).
so, what stock hould it have?
don't get me wrong, i'm not gonna change antything, i like it the way it is. just wondering what would be 'correct'...
    thanks, Charles

I believe your stock may be correct. GAW's went into the 3.6 range if I remember correctly? I think they found a batch of 3.6s at the CMPicon that all had GAW marked stocks. Hopefully an expert will verify. HTH--Mark

    I'll take it!

I'll take it, tell me where to send the money!

Just kidding, nice rifle and probably correct. Some real gems came out of the CMPicon in the early days...

I'm no expert but your stock should be an SA/NFR with a small CC. NFR started around 3.4 mil
