Congratulations, what a find at an antique store. This is pretty much the route I am taking to scope my A4 project. Just keep scrounging around, and your find proves you never know where it will pop up.

$20 plus tax. I thought about asking for a cash price to drop the tax, but just didn't have the guts to do it.
What's funny is there were 3 early (What I would guess were)1960's target scopes for $350 - $400 each. I think people who don't know think these M73's are cheap 22 scopes like you get at walmart for $15 and the mount won't fit anything current so non-collectors pass them by.
Also this one particular store if it has a WWII date on it they ask more for the item. I also looked at a pair of 1942 dates US army binoculars w/o case and since they were WWII dated, they wanted $100 for them.
I'm sure they thought I was crazy for paying $20.
I'm sending the money to a guy this week for a 1903A3 with c-grip stock. I may put it on this rifle and keep it for a while.

Very nice find. Base / Rings looks like a Korean war vintage Lyman as I do not see any Redfield marking on it. Am I just missing them? Looks like a beautiful combo at an unbelievable price!!!

You may be right on the mounts. There are no markings on the base or rings that I can find.
