    Interesting visit

Visited a friend yesterday as he requested I come over and look at the 9 carbines he had just received from the CMPicon. Here are the highlights:

Among the group (I won't be able to remember everything)

3 IBMs, 2 with IBM barrels (1 with AO receiver), 1 with Underwood barrel
Almost all the group were reparked with the exception of the AO. I told him I wanted it. We'll see how it comes out. No Inland receivers, and I believe a couple SG plus NPM, Underwood, and Quality.

All the wood was GI walnut, but 1 SA. Two of the group were stripped almost to the point of ready for stain. No FAT marked. A couple of the group were IO marked and one was marked Standard Products--but marked on the LEFT side.

There were two spring tube receivers amongst the group. And two with Type I bands. Mixture of barrels included a beautiful Winchester with a muzzle wear of 0.5. A couple Rockolas, all gauge less than 2. One of the carbines was a SA-equipped stock, slide, barrel (like new).

Several Winchester trigger housings as well as others with the stamped, brazed trigger guard.

I guess it goes to show you might get just about anything. There sure were some really nice, desirable items in the group. I'll come up with more info when I get another look at them soon.
