Bolt Pawls..Will someone supply them?

Got them 20+ years ago at a Great Western show in Pomona. That show was huge. Got kicked out of California, went to Las Vegas and I guess turned into a bust compared to the old show.

Someone on the old forum knew the guy who made them, not sure who it was though.

The tongs are aftermarket, marked USMC. They are used for the hammer spring and plunger. Some use the slide spring guide, a scewdriver, a punch. I have sent them into the wall before when they slipped off. I like this tool. Never sent one flying using them. I hate spackling the wall.

"Bolt pawl" had me going a bit also, until I realized the OP meant bolt TOOL pawls. The split end is for installing the extractor plunger, since the new type plunger has to go in a certain way to hold the new type extractor.

You can use the solid end for installation, you just need to be careful to orient the plunger the right way.

Hi, I recently recieved from Bill Ricca a copy of his PS Magazine CD: ..... PS Magazine Articles on CD ..... In it there's a letter about GI's using the bolt tool incorrectly and breaking the" Bolt Pawl " by using the notched end to dissassembly instead of the other way around. I quess this is nothing new.Any one interested , I love the CD from Bill Ricca. Regards,Mike

very nice jim, anyway, these bolt pawls, im a machinist ,with access to heat treating equipment, all i would need to duplicate with high quality would be a set of detailed drawings, or one to take measurements from,
