Inglis Chinese contract 9mm forsale on CGN. Almost looks to good to be real?? Lack of knowledge really sucks.

The case is obviously not original. The stock is doubtful as well - it's a likely chinee reproduction, but I would need to see closups of the wood grain and the locking assembly that connects to the pistol. The gun itself looks good though. The pantographing is still in the white, so unless it's been VERY carefully humped up, it should be "as advertised". The mag in the gun is a recent replacement part - inglis never had plastic mags. The serial numbered mag was not done at production and *may* be a replacement mag as well. Hard to make out, but a prospective buyer should want to see if it it "JL" monogrammed or not. If not, it's not an original magazine.

If it's a real Inglis mag, the price is fair. If the shoulder stock is original (I have my doubts) the price is a real bargain.

I've seen numerous examples of both real and knock-off Inglis stocks. I am almost cetain it is real. If i could see the back side of it, i would know for sure. There are a few tell-tale details shown in the pics that would suggest that it is the real thing. More pics would make me certain, however again, I am 99% certain it is real. If i get a chance i will compare to my 5 (!) real and 2 fake stocks on the weekend.


Speaking of which, I have seen many marked with the 1944 date. Are the 1945 dates a bit more rare?
