Ever won an auction you had forgotten about?

I just did and was pleasantly surprised!

I bid on a wartime matching K98kicon bayonet over a week ago and then promptly forgot about it thinking I had way underbid and would not win it. Then today i checked my e-mail and found out I got it for a mere $45.

I could easily flip it on e-pay for three times that!

It's a matching (scabbard too) fnj42 K98k bayonet with original German frog. Unsharpened blade with about 80% blue and properly patina'd pommel and scabbard.

some days it pays to get out of bed

Considering he wants $150-175 for mismatched ones with dented scabbards and $250+ for a matching one, I understand why most have not sold.

I got this one on VGS. Not sure why no-one bid against me though... I fully expected to be outbid as I had only bid the minimum amount.
