    Marine with M1917 and M1903

    Here's another interesting photo from Bolo Badge's collection. This looks like a Marine displaying M1917 and M1903 rifles. (Recall the previous thread "Parris Island, Inspection" from 05-17-09, in which the question of Marines' use of the M1917 was discussed.)

    Note what appears to be the EGA device on his campaign hat, which does not appear to have a cord but does have a chin strap around the front of the crown.
