    Definitely have to go with Springfield for the bottom safety. Top is Winchester, perhaps. Still up in the air over dates, though.

    Looks as if the back, top, is forged and the front is milled. I'll say are S/A one. Front one early, mid 1940 the rear mid, late 1939.

    Mr. Hollinger was half right and Mr. Johnson was 100% correct on who made them but no time frame was given. The upper is a Winchester Educational order safety and pretty rare. These were used from the begining but not knowing the exact stopping date. They're pretty rare and a neat find. Rick Bicon
