A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... We have a Bingo and Amatikuluicon is the winner.

At the base of White Face Mountain are the ski jumps and Olympic Torch, in the valley is Lake Placid.

Olympic village and the Torch with Whiteface Mountain in the back ground.

I normally don’t ski jump in the summer months so I spent most of the time fishing from a canoe at a very remote lake. You carried your canoe and gear a half mile to get to the lake while the black flies and mosquitoes made a meal of your arms.

That’s meals of your defenseless elevated bare arms that are supporting the canoe, and I wondered “why” some stupid people were wearing long sleeve shirts in August when we started the carry or portage.

    Beaver dam on Lake Lila.

Mr. Horton states "(It also screwed us out of the Enfield Rifleicon from being our nation rifle) ". I think we did it to ourselves, considering Mr. Lee presented several versions of his rifle for US military adoption. Guess the trapdoor was sooo much better!

Our victory at Lake Champlain assured that the American games of Baseball and Football would become as American as Apple pie and Chevrolet. (It also screwed us out of the Enfield Rifleicon from being our nation rifle)

Unfortunately in the end this didn’t stop the Canadians from illegally sneaking that silly game of hockey across the border into the “Colonies”.

Benedict Arnold stopped the British at Lake Champlain and at the lake below me we stopped and soundly defeated the Russians in their worst defeat in modern history.

The mountain might be little known but the lake below it is world famous.

Sorry to dissapoint you Ed, but the national spport of the USAicon up to the
    Civil War was cricket!
