Thumbs down Where did all the good times go???

I miss the old "CSPicon" days. We used to have alot of input into our Garandicon collecting community, with even some "energized" discussions that were, if nothing else, comical to read. There used to be constant topics and seemingly a large following on a regular basis. Has everyone just moved on in life or do I not know where the new "cool" Garand place is to hang out???

Slow forums on all sites, its a "summer" thing. Add to that the fact that there are more websites to visit now so folks split up their time between them. There was a time when I only read CSPicon and occasionally would visit another. Now I read CSP,Milsurps,CMPicon,AR15 and garanditis. Then there is Gunbroker which can easily take up an evening when I browse all the various arms that interest me. I just don't have the time to post like I used to on EVERY site. I'll make the rounds, spend a few days or a week concentrating on one or two, then move to another, then come back etc etc. Once winter sets in I'm on alot more but for now its casual at best. I'm sure I'm not alone on this.

    Amen ...

There are so many good quality sites nowadays, that it's impossible to keep up with them all. Each has its own uniqueness and some individual sense of community.

You're also right on about summer ...

Who the heck wants to spend time sitting in the dark hunched over a computer when one can be outdoors at the range blasting away ..

We find that the winter months have the highest participation and posting counts ...

    Regards,
    Badger

I was just saying the same thing to a buddy. At least three garand sites, four if yoou coount garanditis, which not many folks even know aboout. I have foound I too can spend an evening at gunbroker cruising for unique serial numbers and just window shopping. Today in Phx. we're not going to break 100 so pretty soon I'll be spending more time ouotside.
(all the extra O's are from my stiffened up finger and I just stopped deleting them. I'm not scottish.)
