    More Mossberg 44 U.S. pictures

Since the forum is slow and the CMPicon is out of 44 U.S. rifles...

This is a CMP Mossberg Model 44 U.S., S/N 154131 which I picked up last spring at Camp Perry.

When I got it, it was in "never fired" condition. I know this because it wouldn't shoot. The firing pin protrusion was .004" too short until I stoned the firing pin stop surface.

    M44 at Appleseed shoot

Mossbergs shoot in the rain! This is my nephew at an Appleseed (The best thing for shooting in decades!) shoot on Sep 19 using my Mossberg 44 in a cut down stock. It poured rain but we kept shooting & he thoroughly enjoyed it.

Another set of great Mossy pics. Keep them comming. Here is mine. As far as I know, one of the last CMPicon rifles. It came with a rail, and a really nice bore and stock. It shoots like a dream.

If you'd picked up a case of Aguila GE at the same time, it would fit neatly into that SAW can you're using as a prop.
