JimF4M1sicon.. M1icon carbine ammo came packed in bandoleers of 10 round stripper clips. Easy to handle full clips. No lose rounds to get dirty and loose. And the 10 round clip fits neatly in one of the magazine pockets of the two mag pouch.

Tom, I know it came on 10 round stripper clips, so that it was easier. I have a few spam cans.

Just think 10 rounds in a 15 round mag is short sighted. Then again you were probably not going into an alert situation.

I believe that the spam cans were used mostly after WW2 and were for 30 rounders, though my dad did refer to having to "break" clips in half to finish filling magazines on Iwo. He had a transitional Inland M1icon. (Type 2 sight and barrel band).

Makes good sense, 3-10 round stripper clips would load faster in a 30 round mag.

I got a foreign made 40 rounder in a trade for a bunch of M1icon carbine mags one time. It was flimsy (no front crimp, just a bump), and would not even load more than about 32 rounds before the follower bound up. JUNK! I never bothered trying to fire it, as I did not want to waste the ammo on the aggravation.

Does the seller have any magazines left? I checked AA but couldn't find him, I could use a few. Thanks!
