My wife thinks I'm crazy! £120 for three eyepieces!

Maybe I am totally mad. I saw and had to have the three eyepieces for an eye-watering £120. Came this morning and I have to say I'm please that I bought them - beautiful engineering, practical use and most importantly - when would I ever have the opportunity of getting my hands on one again? To add that I find shooting with target sights one of the funnest things so they'll all be getting many outings!

Below: the one which really got me interested:
Parker Hale 6 hole eye piece fitted with large thread removable adaptor and 1 1/4 inch brass magnifier/filter attachement by J.H. Steward Ltd 406 Strand London.

Below: I've been shooting for just 2 years now after finally getting my act together for an FAC - here's some of the target sights I've come across:

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. You might find these articles interesting, particularly if you don't already have it), the book titled "A Century of Sights and Sighting Aids by Edna Rosalind Parker" mentioned in the first article's Collector Comments and Feeback sction of the entry.

    3. For anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of the evolution of A.J. Parker/Parker Hale micrometer sights, I'd recommending locating this rare and interesting book called A Century of Sights and Sighting Aids by Edna Rosalind Parker. She is the daughter of Alfred J. Parker (founder of Alfred J. Parker Ltd.) and granddaughter of A.G. Parker (founder of Parker hale Ltd.). With her knowledge of the business and access to all of the various historical documents and pictures of the various sights, this little book makes for a very through and accurate reference piece on the subject. There is no ISBN number for it, so I'd suggest you use a "Google" search on the title to see if you can find a copy from one of the rare used book sources on the Internet. I found my copy on a table at a local gun show. ....... (Feedback by "Badger")

£40 a piece - about what they've been fetching on ebay recently.

A good investment (they wont get any less in value).
