Do you have any history on the S/N 20Lxxxx? I'm trying to find out how mine got to Australiaicon. Even minor details may help to build a bigger picture.

Just picked up a 1950 No. 4 Mk 1* serial number 92L5931. It is still in cosmolineicon and in mint condition. Not a scratch or dent on the stock, which even has a new rack number painted in white. The blue is spectacular with no visible flaws. Even the numbers on the ladder sight are in white. The bore looks new and until today when I took possession was coated in cosmoline. Tomorrow I start the long process of getting it cleaned up and ready for the range.

    Hi all,
    I'm new here.

Found this place via a Google search while looking for info on Long Branch serial numbers.

    I've just bought a near mint 1945 No4 Mk1 T, serial no 9078313.
Would love to find out more about it

My first Long Branch, also my first Enfield, is serial #12L0098. Walnut buttstock & fore stock, and what appears to be Birdseye Maple grooved hand guards. All matching with Mk III micrometer sights, mirror bore two- groove barrel. No range report yet, wood still curing after BLOicon treatment. Can't wait til range time!!!
