im looking into new barrels for the 17 and P14.
    prices will be around 200.00
these will be just like the ones the CMPicon sold.
looking for interest before i bet the farm, and spend a bunch of money.
i may have 10 barrels available right up front.

Right now, my barrel is shooting straight (I think.) I'm going to take it to the November CMPicon match and will know more then, but right now it doesn't look like I need a new barrel.

However, with the WW1 100th anniversary coming up in a few years, I'd think replacement barrels might become a hot item....you never know.

    1917 barrels

Sooo, what would a brand new (unused) Johnson Automatics 1917 barrel be worth, two groove?

I got rid of my M1917 w/a JA barrel last year. The barrel was not properly stress relieved and would "pop" over at around 30 rounds into a match. I now shoot a very nice M1917 with 5 groove barrel. Very good results.

I would also be interested in a new 1917 barrel. My old bbl is pretty pitted, rest of the rifle looks great. Thansk!

Hey guys, this is my first post here. This looks like a great forum!

Chuck, I'm debating which way to go with a replacement barrel for my Eddystone. I called Krieger and found that they'll make me a custom match grade barrel which is kind of the route that I'd prefer to go. I'm still in the process of weighing it out. Can you tell more about the barrels you'll have? I expect they'll have a parkerized finish. What kind of rifling, twist rate, number of grooves and manufacturer would be useful information. Do you have a set price for installation?

Thanks very much for your help!

    Mark
