It was an interesting video. Had no idea there was so much hammer work to do, i was thinking the helmet,s were just stamped out and painted.
i wonder if the US helmet's were made the same, probley so. Thank's.

I agree. I'm not a helmet collector either. I managed to learn a few things searching for info on the Fininsh military. I'm thankful Dan Wilson started this thread as I have been looking for helmets used by the Finns and he put me on the trail with his post.
I'm not concern about ruining its originality as its refurbished anyhow. I want to recreate one of those wild Finnish helmet paint jobs for my display or perhaps use it as a Finn re-enactors helmet.
