    jmoore,

we have this with foxes in suburbs. Here it is allowed for hunters wich having their hunting grounds also in suburbs to shoot it with .22 LR or bigger animals with rifles with suppressors. But it is always interesting to wait on peoples reactions when they see a man with a rifle and a suppressor on it. Sometimes the police is coming and its a bit like Hollywood, nice to see! The problem with the deers is that in summer when they have season they know that they have to go to the states forests, where no hunter is allowed to shoot. In winter when the season is off they go to the private forests, because they know that the hunters will feed them and hope that they have some deers in summer to shoot. Hey, those deers are clever!

    Regards

    Gunner

    Gunner,

we are seeing a lot of wildlife moving into the suburbs too. Includes deer, coyotes and cougars. The cougars occasionally take a human.

Some places, archers are making a living taking care of nuisance deer. Mostly though, Americans have not really come to grips with managing wildlife in urban areas.

I'm surprised you can use a rifle in built-up areas in Germanyicon. I can still remember the police bringing me and my brother home for that when we were 12 and 10 ....

Well, my family came to this country because of the hunting. I guess it's still pretty good.

    Hi Jon,
the hunters who is allowed to shoot in the cities are only a few and they have very strong rules. They can shoot "Problematic Animals" wich have the rabies, wild boars wich come often into the gardens. Than i know one hunter who has deers in a sort of park in a city. He is allowed to shoot with a suppressor for no disturbing the peoples. And shooting must be announced by the police. Otherwise they will take you for a night in a lovely prison cell.

    Regards

    Gunner
