Inland & Winchester flip sights I bought, real or fake?

    Hi folks,
I recently started a thread on a Winchester flip sight I bought which turned out to be a fake. In my haste to find at least any correct WWII (authentic) flip sight, I decided to buy an Inland one that came up on gunbroker last week:

    http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=143430343

The seller said I could return it if it is fake. Also, after posting about the other Winchester sight on this and a couple other forums, a forum member named "riverbottom" on the Joustericon forums PM'd me to offer a used, pitted square S flip sight for sale. He was gracious enough to send it to me for free while I decide if I want it.

I've taken lots of pictures of both of these sights. Can you please tell me if you think either one is real or fake? A friendly forum member has already privately pointed out to me that the aperture on the Inland flip sight is backwards. Also, the pin is battered on one end. Both bad signs, right?

    Here are the photos:

Thanks in advance for the friendly help I know you will give,
    Josh

The Inland looks fake. I'm not sure about the Winnie. I suspect it is also.

I believe the Inland W-I is legit, the pin being scuffed up on one side is not uncommon on original sights. The aperture is in backwards which sucks. The tooling marks, the W-I stamp, the pin and staking tells me it is original. The aperture being backwards was done by the sub-contract Co. or by someone else later on I can not say.

That is why this site is so dang good! The light machine marks on the sides was what lead me to my take on the sight. I have been told those marks are a dead give away. I hope I did not steer you in the wrong direction paroikoi. Thanks Scott.
