    This guy has 3 listed. I think they are type 3 that have been cut.

    OMG...the whole barrel clamp is gone! Other than that it could be a real one - notice the 'II' mark - it's horizontal - the real one I have is vertical, but I don't know if some of them were horiz. or if the horiz. mark is for Type II or III. Being damaged like it is, it has no value at all since it cannot hold the barrel.

    Those are slash marks as on type 2 & 3. I contacted the guy and he was honest. He said he sold 2 [they had complete barrel support] and that they were cut.

    The orientation of the double slash marking is correct. It is only found on type II barrel bands not type IIIs.
