    However lets do the math.

    ROC barrel $185+
ROC Receiver 250+ most bring 300+
    ROC housing 75+
    ROC slide 70+
    ROC t-1-2 hammer 225+
    ROC Trigger & sear 50+
    ROC RP frt sight 50+
    ROC rear sight 200+
    ROC 2A MCatch 100+
    T-2 safety 50+
    RMC T-1 HG 45+
    RMC t-2 R plate 50+
    RMC butt plate 45+
    RMC bolt complete 125+
    I cut stock (faked) 100+

Total $1525 for the parts many of which are impossible to find like the hammer, mag catch and rear sight.

And this is a conserative estimate as I left off the band and the pins and springs.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Although the seller skirts the edges with his description of this Rock-Ola, with non USGI parts and fake acceptance stamp, you have to stop and think if this is what humped carbines that are made to look original will bring? I know that originals and even honest restorations with legit parts and markings are very difficult to find, but is this where we are at in today's market place? Perhaps people just don't care anymore and will pay the bucks regardless if legit or not.

Personally, with the addition of the first fake part/marking added, this carbine as a whole, became absolutey worthless to me.

    IMO,
A stock is ruined once a Repro/Faked Stamp is applied.
We know many were lightly stamped and easily wore off with general wear and tear.
Others sanded off when rack numbers were applied.

Repro parts can be replaced......but that nice piece of old growth walnut is ruined for life.

Are we also at the stage where Replica Stamps are acceptable?

    I hope not,

I think the carbine was worth a great deal without the fake stamp. The fake stamp does however lend a little bit to what the seller really is all about.
