After talking with some fellow shooters locally and reading on the net I must
ask this question again.

Any difference between military 5.56 brass and commerical .223 ?

Most the shooters in my high power circle say they use the same loads - i.e. powder charge - for commerical or military brass, there is no significate volume difference in 223 brass. I read this as well in a couple articles on the net, but also read that when using military brass reduce powder charge 2 grains from a previously used load with commerical brass. But did not specify
what calibers.

I weighed some cases and the weight difference is around 5 grains.

Any and all comments and experience would be appreciated on this topic.
