    Seller says:

H&R M4 Survival rifle in .22 Hornet (made in Canadaicon). This is an interesting piece of Canadian WW2 history. Made in Drummondville Quebec and issued to Canadian Air Crews, very few of these survive today. A recent example sold in the US in 2006 for $2850!! Email for more pics and details on this rare gun Offering to dedicated WW2 collectors at $1800 - Trades?

Why would a WW2 collector want a postwar rifle? These do turn up from time to time, for a LOT less than the askinig price.

Paid $300 for my first one, all matching, about 7 years back. Since then I have seen several ranging from $400 to about $700, some matching more than others. Seen the odd dewat around as well in the $100 range.

The price in the US is irrelevant with these since they can't go to the US with their origional short barrel. What is neat is the little C/i\ markings. These marks were supposed to be obsolete by 48; since these guns were built for the F86 sabre, I believe they came after that date.

Since the guns also fall into the "restricted" class due to their short overall length with the collapsed stock, they aren't even a good pack gun anymore.

An interesting piece of memorabilia, yes....$1800 interesting; I don't think so.
