    Sniper rifle............SSG 82

I bough one of these a while back and I would like alittle info on her. I think it is a Mannlicker. Only about600 were imported by Centery Arms. They were used on the towers at the Berlin Wall. Cal is 5.56x39. It has a plastic stock and a snap on scope. Does anyone else have any more info on these. Rog

Thank you, do you know anything else about it? I saw some clips somewhere and he wanted 65.00 for them. He told me what I know about the rifle now. Very nice guy. Rog

No, no more info unfortunately. I've never actually seen one in person. There's a very small number of them in Canadaicon.

I have one. The stock is wood, The scope is Zeiss of Jena and turret mounted. The rifle is bloody well accurate. But I "shudder" lubricate the cases for extraction. The trigger assembly is very fragile. a lot of broken ones. Be wery careful when firing. rifle and scope are marked "DDR". It is a collector"s item. Not a piece you want to field in combat. I'll field the Zastava m76. to protect home and hearth. Gary

The SSG 82 was used by the East Germanicon Stazi(secret police).
