A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I have a MAS 45.
Bought it about 5 years ago as I collect Mausers.
It has now more than doubled in value and I keep being pestered to sell it.
We have the T.S.A.R. comprertition heere in Franceicon and it fall right into the .22 trainer comp.
The comp has been won so many times with MAS 45s as they are so accurate.
More so than any other trainer that is used it just beats then hands down.

Could you please tell us more about this competition: when? where? who to contact?
I participate in at least one competition in France each year, so perhaps next year I should bring my Lee Enfield No. 8 and see how good the MAS 45 really is!

    Patrick,,,,,,

The compertition starts in each department in late march early april each year,
then you move on up into the regional comp, adout a month later, depending on that result you get an entry into the championship of Franceicon.
The full name of the comp is ¨Tir aux Armes Réglementaires.
here is a link to the FFTIR Frebch shooting Fed site, and some pice and info.

Would anyone be able to help me find a complete bolt, trigger guard, front/rear sights and a couple mags for the MAS 45?

There is a NOS MAS45 bolt on GunBroker now. I think I have a spare triggerguard and probably 1 mag.(Mags should be on GunBroker also) I've never seen a front sight for sale, have only seen one rear sight and bought it!
