    Announcement Prayer for Charlie

Charlie (Painter777) isn't out of the woods yet after being kicked in the ribs by his horse.
He had a bad coughing fit a couple of days ago and his lung collapsed.
He was taken to the emergency room where they had to run a tube out.
He's back home now but he's in a great deal of pain.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

    ~ Harlan

    Darn!
Just a few days ago I was telling him that he led an interesting life!
He was having trouble sitting at his computer table then and I imagine it's near impossible now.
If anyone has a more direct connection to him, I'd appreciate it if he could be told that I/we send best wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery.

    Keep us posted.

    Thanks,
    Phil

Praying for you Charlie! Those dim witted quadrupeds are hell! I crashed on one at a gallop and ended up underneath an 1100 lb. thoroughbred. Three broken ribs and a badly bruised liver. Thought I would die! I feel your pain, Charlie! Hang in there, AND DON'T LAUGH!!!

I got an email from Charlie at noon today. He came home Thursday and he said he is "sore as HELL" Seems there was a complication.

You can go through the members list and send him a private email. He may be checking in here, and just too damn tired to sit and write back.

I hope he takes it easy and rests. I'm sure he will write when he is better.

If you are ready this Charlie, BEST WISHES. Gives us something to talk about over beer at Harlan's house next September in Dallas.

    Jim

Charlie is one of the best people I've ever known.

We joked and kidded, and even bantered words (and slightly butted heads at times) on-line in the forums for years.

When I was going through real life personal problems last year he called me to help.
We talked for hours and hours on weekends after that.

It was so good to have a real friend on my side to talk to who also had the same interests I have.

Stay tough Charlie and rest. We'll all be here when you get better.

As I told you today - If you don't stop worrying about everyone else and start taking care of yourself, I'll drive to Michigan and break your other ribs!

    Your friend,
    ~ Harlan
