    Bren fans please help me.

I'm doing the secret santa thing on another gun board and after reading through my guys thread history he has a thing for Brens.

I am looking for a training poster like this http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=300371062598

Or a war propaganda poster where the main person is carrying a Bren or a shirt with something Bren on it.

I've scoured the net and come up empty. I can find any other gun on a training poster. I have searched all the custom T shirt sites for something with a Bren on it.

I'm on a time table here as Christmas is coming up and I'm sure ther is stuff out there but I have had no luck I want to get him something cool that he would like and I think this would be the ticket.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thumbs up

Yup, Ned pointed you in the right direction ....

    Firearms Tee-shirts (Bren Gun)

I bought some of his Lee Enfield tee-shirts for my wife (~Angel~) who's an avid Enfield collector. His quality was reasonable and delivery was quick.

    Regards,
    Badger

There used to be a 1970s safety poster featuring a Grim Reaper porting a 7.62 Bren labelled 'Firearms KILL. MAKE SURE it's unloaded'

My favorite safety advice was the training film: "It could be you!" Apart from all the usual stuff, the best bit was when a soldier attempts to unload a Saladin's 76 mm gun - with a hammer and chisel!

Does anyone remember the big Bren wall charts used for training. They ususlly lined the training classroom walls. As I remember them, they were coloured in a wishy-washy mix of pale pink, pale green, a pale grey and pale blue sorts of combination with the trigger mechanism in red!

When I was the Armourer at Yeovil, we had two L54 or L55 Brens in the training wing, painted in these wall chart/poster colours. I don't know who sanctioned it but they certainly served a useful purpose

Any budding printer out there fancy reproducing the posters?

I did have one myself and it was laminated and mounted in my troops office. I left it as a momento for the troop to remember me by, probably got chucked out LOL.
There was also one for the vickers in much the same vain.
    Cheers
