some, but not all, had damaged muzzles, dropped muzzle first on concrete, ect.
    buggering the muzzle.
so the quick and cheap fix, is to run a reamer down the muzzle, to take that damage out.
03,s didnt get that much damage from being cleaned, as they are cleaned from the breach end, and not the muzzle.
Garands and Carbines however, did get worn from sectional steel cleaning rods.
CAI and Blue Sky sold many Garands and Carbines from Korea, havnt seen many 03,s but its possible.
i belive these are Greek rifles as well, could also be Italianicon or Norwayicon..
iv asked a few times about stuff comming back from Norway, i was told by the powers that be,,,NO guns are comming back from Norway...
hmmmm., in a depot here in Co, i know a few tractor trailers full of surplus parts that came from Norway, they have been on hold for a few years..heck, 10 years...
bet they get sold as scrap...ill be waiting with my bidder number when that day happens..if my sorce doesnt retire first, lol.
same sorce told me if 9 A4,s at the same depot, i was told by the powers that be,,that they wernt worth the legal effort....MMMMkay....
lots of red tape, and BS,, i say..lots.
    anyhooooow.
you think the CMPicon is the only ones getting return surplus??CAI, Samco ect, all got those rifles, and resell, the Carbines that Big 5 sold, had CAI import markings on them and they were Italian lease rifles...

It sure is Mike. I had to search all over my computer but found an old photo of the CAI early Rock Ola I had. The muzzle looked like a howitzer!
(I have no idea if they did this or what the deal was)

    I guess....

Maybe no one was taught how to remove a bolt from a M1903 ?? Who knows what happened to a rifle while in someone else's possesion??

Only the Shadow knows for sure !!!

    Happy Holidays,
