A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... Up here in the frozen north (Manitoba) Stencollector and his friends have a winter shoot called the Battle of the Bulge at CFB Shilo. Not sure if it refers to the actual battle or the shape of us old (older) guys.

Anyways I've never been but plan to next time its held - its a milsurp shoot and participants are encouraged to wear period uniforms and webbing. I'm working on a Finnishicon Continuation War get up.

There are plenty of toys especially when Stencollector makes it (ask him about his Bren - the carrier not the MG).

I will try to post pics if I can get permission.

Other than that I think people would think you a bit strange at the regular range. Merry Xmas everyone

    Thumbs up

One of the local gun clubs has a military themed shoot every couple of years.
In 05 there was a pretty large turn out of GIs, Brits, Germans & russians.
Last year there were only about a half dozen of us, 1 GI & 5 Germans. That was at their new larger ange which is located way out in the boon docks so maby that was why the small turnout because the club also had a small showing.
With any luck they'll do it again next year.
Here is a couple of the Germans from last year. We are all WW 2 reenactors.

Why? BDU's and bridges should have one thing in common - weight limits

When I shoot in the Highpower Rifle Matches, it is quite common to see shooters in Jump Boots and BDUs. The BDU pockets help move equipment up and down the Range, and the jump boots provide support in the standing position. And don't let the Sarge who runs the Match see you in boots not polished, or BUD pants not pressed!! He will let you know about it!!
