    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered.  Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle.     I would say they are both close for their condition. The $360.00 one is in very good condition and worth the buy it now price if you are looking for one. Better deals are out there but this one is nice.

    i picked one up on epay a few months ago for in almost mint condition for $45 including shipping, only flaws were the metal pasts a lil correded, but it buffed right out with some steel wool.
    i really lucked out getting it,seller listed it as something else,in wrong catagory. also, it was only into the auction less than an hour

    PD, you did get a great deal! I have seen the carbine scabbards in real nice condition, like the one listed, go for over $400.00. Once I bought two Ford GTBs off eBay for $106.27 because they were listed wrong.

    The two you show are missing the straps, that is usually the first piece missing. I'm sure you can get replacement straps at a leather works, but I have never seen original straps for sale by themselves.

    Last one I saw sell went for well over $400. That was with all the straps and in very good to excellent condition.

    I'm not in the market.
    Just wanted to bring them to the forums attention.
    I guess I could strap them to one of the work trucks and carry roller poles or spray extensions in them ;-)
