    I take it you have never gone out with the intention of buying a newspaper but ended up in the pub instead ?

    Anyhow as has allready been mentioned the Bren mag worked in the Charlton, albeit in a modified form to fit the MLE 'Long Tom' rifle conversion.
    The pictures below of an original Lithgowicon manufactured Charlton magazine might be of some help if contemplating such a magazine conversion (don't know how much different a No4 mag well is)

    We had a Charlton rifle in the Armourers shop at the big Ordnance Depot at Ngaruawahia. I wonder where it is now? I also sent them a Thompson gun from Malaya....
