    Smile Happy New Year

Happy New Year one and all! This post perhaps belongs in the Off Topic forum but I chouse to post it here because I wanted to target the Enfield collecting community who frequent this board.
OK sappy mode on. I wanted to take a moment to thank the fine people who make Milsurps in general and The Lee Enfield Forum in particular such an amazing place to spend time. The depth of knowledge found here is truly amazing. Is their another sight which has such a critical mass of Lee Enfield experts?
So first off Thank You to Peter Laidlericon whose words I take as gospel , Roger Payneicon, Nigel and Terry Hawker for taking the time to go beyond their published works. To Brian Dickicon not only for sharing his knowledge but for the outstanding service he gives to the Enfield collecting community. To the members of the Advisory Panelicon and advanced collectors like Simon, Lance, jmoore, John R, limpetmine, Son, wheaty and the rest of you who donate your time here. To all who have provided the scanned reference material like Ed Horton. To all the general membership for frequenting the forum, asking questions and helping expand the knowledge base. A special thank you to Amatikuluicon for mentoring me through the Moderator learning process.
Finally I want to thank Badger (Doug) and his wife Angle for providing us with a place to hang our hats and for setting such a high standard of excellence and accuracy! It is to you that we owe the greatest debt of thanks and gratitude. You must be proud seeing your sight grow from a Sticky post on Canadianicon Gunnutz to this truly international meeting place.
Happy New Year one and all. May 2010 Bring many new Enfields to your door and may you prosper in all you do!
    Cheers

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Yes, No4Mk1(T), it has been fun to watch this forum grow and while possibly modesty prevents it, include yourself in the list!

Thanks Brad. As I read the list of names I posted I see so many more that could be added but the reality is so many people contribute here what becomes the cut off point? It is my sincere hope I didn’t offend anybody by not including their name. You all know who you are and what our fellow members bring to the table. I’m grateful for my education. I wonder if Ian has ever popped in and what he thinks of us?
Now how did that sappy mode get turned on again? There’s obviously a fault here some place.
