A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Like all of the commercial ammo I have ever shot in my M1icon's, I have found all the Yugoicon .308 and 30.06 to be fine. The Igman soft point (Bosnian) in particular is extremely accurate and mild shooting.

The .308 Match PPU is also pretty decent and rates as "almost" match grade but definitely better than any GI ball you can find.

Since you seem worried about this, and you are getting ready to spend 250+ bucks on 500 rounds of ammo, why not pull out your credit card and simply spend 35.00 more on Schuster Adjutable Gas Screw and not have to worry about this issue at all ever again.
