I am NOT going to believe ANY of it until I see it printed front page of the National Enquirer on my grocery store news stand!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). From what I understand, these carbines and rifles were lent to S. Korea by the U.S. Government, and ownership of them was never transferred - they are still legally U.S. property. S. Korea never bought them, so S. Korea doesn't own them and therefore can't sell them. Rightfully they should be returned to the U.S. Government, and if so would likely end up eventually in the hands of the CMPicon for eventual sale to U.S. citizens.

    S. Korea, on the other hand, views these weapons as a cash cow, and wants to re-import them into the U.S. for sale. The FedGov, at least, is preventing this from happening.

I'm not sure that the motives of the current administration are in our best interests, as they are probably just thrilled to be able to prevent the guns from getting into our hands, but at least, if they can make S. Korea see the error of their ways, perhaps with a new administration these rifles can come in through the rightful and proper channels.
