    L2A2 SUIT question

    Hey All,

I just got a L2A2 Sight Unit, Infantry, Trilux off the internet & would like to know how one installs the LED retrofit kits. Is this something I can do myself or should I take it to my gunsmith?

    Thanks in advance!

Pretty simple really. You just need to remove a circlip that holds the illumination "switch" in place. Pull out the "switch" and push in the led unit.

When you do, make sure that you get rid of all the grotty paint etc etc that will drop into the hole BEFORE you insert the new LED. Use a soft brush or and air brush to blow it out because it doesn't half make the new LED and circlip hard to get back in.
The originals only had a ten year use life and they're all well finished now

Thanks, Peter. Sorry for the delay in thanking you. I've got four projects going out on Friday & a shattered tooth to boot!

    Thanks again!

just get-off the ring on the top and after replace the "no-tritium" with new led.
for get off the ring you need a special clamp.
